AURORA, Colo. — Three people were arrested Tuesday after a man was shot in a suspected gang-related shooting at a bus stop near South Sable Boulevard and East Bayaud Avenue.

The suspects ran into an apartment at the Topaz II complex. Residents received emergency telephone notification alerting them to the incident. Officers found the suspects and took them into custody without incident.

“Initial investigations revealed that this incident began as a dispute between the victim and suspects inside the bus which continued as they exited. At some point during the altercation, a firearm was produced and the victim was shot. The victim was transported to The Medical Center of Aurora with nonlife-threatening wounds,” a news release said.

Sable was closed just north of East Alameda Avenue during the investigation.

The names of the suspects, who were booked into the Aurora Detention Facility, were not released.
