NIWOT, Colo. — The Boulder County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down two alleged Estes Park bank robbery suspects.
The incident happened just before 5 p.m. on Jan. 21. An employee at the Bank of Estes Park, located in Niwot Market, called 9-1-1 saying two men had entered the bank and demanded money. The suspects left the scene on foot and were tracked to an area east of the bank where investigators believe a getaway car had been waiting for them. Although police found the car, they were unable to locate the suspects.

Neighbors were alerted and asked to stay inside and lock their doors until it was deemed safe. Niwot High School was placed on lock out to ensure the safety of the students and faculty who were inside the building at the time of the robbery.

The second suspect was not as tall as the first. Again, his race and hair color are unknown. He was wearing a pink coat, dark pants and had his face covered was covered with a ski mask. Like the first suspect, he carried an umbrella and a bag.
