DENVER — A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a light rail train on Thursday night, the Denver Police Department said.
The crash happened at West Bayaud Avenue and South Santa Fe Drive, between the Alameda and 10th and Osage light rail stations.
Police said Friday morning that initial evidence shows the person who died might have intentionally stepped onto the tracks. The person’s name, age and gender were not released.
Streets in the area were closed and light rail train service on the H Line were also impacted. The roads reopened and light rail service resumed Friday morning.
