DENVER — A young father was killed in a crash involving two vehicles and a home in Denver’s Westwood neighborhood Friday afternoon.
The Denver Police Department first posted about the crash via Twitter about 2:45 p.m. About one hour later, DPD said the crash was fatal.
The crash occurred in the 800 block of South Patton Court.
Police said a man driving a van ran a stop sign and collided with a coupe. The man driving the coupe, 25-year-old Francisco Morales, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Morales’ 5-year-old son was in the coupe at the time. He was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
The driver of the van was also taken to a hospital, but is not believed to have serious injuries. He is under arrest for investigation of driving under the influence.
The people inside the house were uninjured.
