HONOLULU — A helicopter crashed into Pearl Harbor in Hawaii Thursday morning, injuring five people on board.
KHON reported that one of those hurt, a 16-year-old, was in critical condition.
The crash was recorded on video and posted to YouTube by user Mrmotofy.
The civilian helicopter crashed into the water near the USS Arizona Memorial.
Witnesses said the helicopter came to rest upside down in the water near land and they dove into the water to free one of the injured passengers. The other four people on board were able to get out on their own.
The crash forced officials to suspend operations at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center including visits to the USS Arizona Memorial while they conducted their investigation.
