SEATTLE — Seattle Seahawks players made a different kind of statement during the playing of the national anthem before the start of the NFL game against the Miami Dolphins at CenturyLink Field on Sunday.

Instead of remaining seated or taking a knee during the “Star Spangled Banner,” the Seahawks players chose to stand together with their arms locked.

The Kansas City Chiefs also locked armed during the national anthem, while cornerback Marcus Peters raised his gloved right fist, similar to the 1968 Olympics Black Power salute.
