PHILADELPHIA — Parents of a four-year-old girl are relieved she was brought home safe after she decided to take a trip at 3 a.m.
Philadelphia police said Annabelle snuck out of her house Friday night, “hoping to buy a slushie.”
That’s when bus driver Harlan Jenifer drove by and stopped for the four-year-old.
She hopped right on the bus, ready for her ride to the convenience store.
“I was like whoa, you’ve got to be kidding me! Not this time of night. 3:00 in the morning, a little girl? She’s a small little thing. Kind of just shocked me,” said Jenifer.
Jenifer called authorities who brought her back to her parents’ house.
Annabelle’s parents said they have changed all their locks and are just happy their young girl made it home, safe once again.
