PUEBLO, Colo. — On Monday, Pueblo Police responded to a call about a dead body in the Arkansas River, under the 4th St. bridge.

The call claimed the body was floating wrapped in a trash bag, according to Pueblo Sgt. Eric A. Gonzales.

Pueblo Fire and Police Departments were able to get a boat and retrieve the body from the river.

When the body was recovered, there was no trash bag but the body appeared to be muddy, according to Gonzales.

The adult male body has not been identified and the investigation is on going.
