DENVER —On Denver’s east side, neighbors are trying to urge police to step up patrols in their neighborhoods, after a rash of break ins have been happening since mid-March.
“We have had neighbor after neighbor post on Nextdoor that they have been either broken in on or had their car broken into,” said a neighbor who didn’t want to give his name out. “We have been kind of forced to meet and talk on line and face to face with our neighbors.”
And most in the area bounded by Quebec and Holly, 6th and 23rd, Denver Police say they have been recording many incidents in which homes were broken in on or where items were simply stolen out of their yards. As always, best advice—lights on, doors locked, and cars in the garage when possible.
