DENVER — The shootings in Louisiana now have several groups calling for gun control measures that are more strict in Colorado and across the country.

The shootings in Aurora and Newtown in 2012 immediately preceded major gun legislation in Colorado in 2013.

Now some see Thursday’s shooting spree in Lafayette, Louisiana as a chance to restart the gun debate.

Mom’s Demand Action held a rally to do just that in Denver Friday night. Watch Mark Meredith’s video report above for more information.
