DENVER — The Navy SEAL who shot and killed Osama bin Laden in 2011 was in Denver on Sunday night and discussed the threat of ISIS in America, including in Colorado.

Rob O’Neill became a household name when he announced to the world he was the man who ended bin Laden’s life.

O’Neill is a Fox News contributor and travels the country discussing his famous moment and the threat of terrorism around the world.

“[ISIS] are here. They want to kill us because we don’t believe what they believe,” O’Neill said. “They’re religious fanatics that think we’re infidels or non-non-believers — or whatever they want to call us — because they want to kill us”.

In regards to recent terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., O’Neill believes the United States will experience similar acts in the near future.

“One of the things [ISIS] don’t do is lie. And they tell us every day they want to murder us and not in the most pleasant ways. They need to be stopped because they’re too inspirational,” O’Neill said.

O’Neill is said to be a target of ISIS, but he also believes every American is.

“From what I hear, from my sources, ISIS is already here in all 50 states. Their supporters are in sleeper cells waiting to be activated. And they’re going to do what they’re doing. They’re going to do mass shootings,” O’Neill said.

O’Neill has strong beliefs. He believes more needs to be done to combat ISIS in America and overseas.

“We’re not going to be able to win this thing alone. We’re going to have to win it through military force and education,” O’Neill said.

On Sunday, O’Neill was honored by the VFW and became a member of Denver’s VFW1.

Astronaut Scott Kelly was also named a member of Denver’s VFW1. Kelly is the first person to be inducted as a VFW member from space. He sent a recorded acceptance speech back from the International Space Station.
