IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man died a day after he was found shot at an apartment building, the Fifth Judicial District Attorney’s Office said.
Officers were called to the apartment at 345 Idaho St. on Sunday evening. The man, with a gunshot wound to the head, was taken to the hospital where he died on Monday.
Police arrested a person of interest at the scene but then released that person without charges.
A criminal investigation is ongoing and an autopsy has been scheduled, the district attorney’s office said.
