GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. (KDVR) — Greenwood Village Police officers arrested a man after he confessed to killing his wife in the restroom of the Castlewood Library.

Jesus Gonzalez-Fierro, 36, is facing charges of murder in the first degree, domestic violence and evading an outstanding warrant for sexual assault on a child.  

He had been married to the victim, 32-year-old Jessica Rodriguez-Cazares, for 14 years.

Gonzalez-Fierro traveled to Mexico after being accused of a crime several months ago but recently returned.

When he got back, he and his wife had a strained relationship and according to the affidavit, he found reason to kill her.

Gonzalez-Fierro allegedly admitted to police that he strangled her in a bathroom where he knew there we no cameras, at the Castlewood Library where she worked as a cleaner.

Following the incident, Gonzalez-Fierro turned himself into police, and according to the affidavit, admitted to what he had done.

He is currently being held at Arapahoe County Detention Facility.
