Loophole allows TV advertising of E-cigarettes

Some makers of electronic cigarettes are taking to television advertising, just like the big tobacco companies did decades ago.

A loophole allows TV advertising of E-cigarettes, and some in Congress want the Food and Drug Administration to step in and regulate E-cigarette advertising just like tobacco.

Some of the criticism indicates the ads are targeting children.

Health experts warn there isn’t enough research to know the effects of E-cigarettes on people’s health.
