DENVER– A teenager died after being shot on Saturday night, the Denver Police Department said.
The shooting happened about 7 p.m. in the the 3500 block of West Colfax Avenue.
The Denver medical examiner identified the victim as 17-year-old Ty Martinez.
On Sunday afternoon, police confirmed the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
There is no suspect information and police have not released a possible motive.
What led to the shooting is under investigation.
