WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (KDVR) — Update (April 29): The Wheat Ridge Police Department says a community member found Tank and brought him to the station. He was then taken to Foothills Animal Shelter for a checkup and monitoring.

Police are still investigating and say Tank will remain on a hold until ownership can be determined.

Original (April 28): The Wheat Ridge Police Department is searching for a service dog that went missing Tuesday after its owner had a seizure.

Police said it happened at about 9 a.m. near 4700 Kipling Street, near the off-ramp from eastbound Kipling St.

The one-year-old German Shepard is named Tank. Tank was wearing a blue harness, a blue collar and a green leash.
