JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — Both directions of U.S. 6 were closed through Clear Creek Canyon between Golden and Colorado Highway 119 because of a serious crash for several hours on Thursday afternoon.
The Colorado State Patrol said the crash happened after 1 p.m.
A spokesman said the crash happened at mile marker 266 and involved a motorcycle and pickup truck.
Two people on the motorcycle were taken to Denver Health Medical Center. The spokesman could not speak to the extent of their injuries or say whether the truck driver was hurt.
The 11-mile stretch of the highway reopened just before 5:30 p.m.

Alternate routes are Colorado 119 south to Interstate 70 or north to Golden Gate Canyon Rd or Colorado 72.
