COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (KDVR) — Update: 3:30 p.m. 3/10: The Commerce City Police Department has identified 24-year-old Destenie Edwards (Salazar) as the suspect in the shooting. According to Commerce City Police Chief Clint Nichols, she is not in custody.
Nichols said police believe Edwards knew the victim.

Original Story: The Commerce City Police Department is investigating a road rage incident that turned into a shooting.
Police said they got the call around 9:05 a.m. near Kearney Street and East 64th Place, which is near Kearney Middle School. They found a woman with a gunshot wound in an alley.
Police said the woman was taken to the hospital and her condition is unknown at this time. A female suspect left the scene and has not been arrested at this time.
According to Commerce City police, the road rage incident started at another location, and both cars crashed at the Kearney Street location. Both drivers exited and the suspect shot the victim, according to police.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
