DENVER — Officers worked on a situation with a person barricaded inside a home on Sunday afternoon, the Denver Police Department said.
Police said the incident began as a welfare check at a home in the 400 block of South Ivy Street in the Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood.
However, the situation escalated, with police saying there was a suicidal person barricaded inside the home.
The incident was isolated to one residence and the person was later taken into custody.
