EVANS, Colo. (KDVR) — An Evans man is charged with attempted murder after a shooting landed a 50-year-old in the hospital on Friday.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of 39th Street in Evans around 12:30 p.m. to find a 50-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.

After UC Health EMS took the victim to the hospital, officers learned the shooting happened inside a home on the 900 block of 40th Street. When officers began to search the area, police say the suspect, 28-year-old Shnitson Kerlegrand, ran away.
