Police investigating homicide in southeast Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — A man was shot and killed in southeast Denver on Sunday evening, the Denver Police Department said.

Update: The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Harold Brown IV.

The shooting occurred in the 10700 block of E. Dartmouth Avenue around 4 p.m., DPD said. Police arrived on scene and found Brown IV who had been shot. The department later reported that Brown IV died and officers are now conducting a homicide investigation.

Brown IV was in a vehicle with friends in the parking lot of an apartment complex when shots were fired into the vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding Brown’s death is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and receive a reward of up to $2,000.
