DENVER — City officials have released plans to redevelop an area south of Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

The 50-acre plan would include reconfiguring some parking lots south of the stadium as well as south of the Colfax viaduct.

The parking lot is used during game days and special events. Denver Community Planning and Development is leading the process for the possible development.

When finished, the mixed-use hub would become a blend of retail and housing and would create a “neighborhood hub where people can live, work and play.”

The development would take several years.

The city is in the process of setting up community informational meetings for later in the year.
