BROOMFIELD, Colo. (KDVR) — Two people were killed when a small plane crashed in a Broomfield residential neighborhood early Sunday afternoon.
North Metro Fire has confirmed there were no survivors of the crash and two people were killed. No bystanders were injured and no homes were damaged.
The intersection of Las Brias Drive and Anthem Ranch was closed for several hours due to the investigation.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, it was a single-engine Piper PA32 that crashed. The National Transportation Safety Board will continue the investigation.
FlightAware lists the plane as departing Erie Municipal Airport at 11:49 a.m., being airborne for less than a minute and traveling a distance of two miles.
