Castle Rock, CO (KDVR) – Professional golf is heading back to Colorado.
Castle Pines Golf Club will host the BMW Championship in August of 2024.
“We are ready to host the best players in the world,” said Western Golf Association and Castle Pines Chairman & President George Solich.
The BMW Championship is the longest-running regular PGA Tour event on the calendar outside of the four major tournaments. The top 70 players based on cup playoffs points will qualify for the event.
Castle Pines hosted The International golf tournament for 21 seasons, from 1986 through 2006 at Castle Pines.
“It’s a beautiful piece of property,” golf legend Jack Nicklaus, who helped design and continues to maintain the course, said. “It’s a fun place to play and the beauty is unmatched.”
The BMW Championship was last held in Colorado in September of 2014 at Cherry Hills Country Club.
