Denver PD: One person dead, teen wounded after shooting each other near Highland Park

DENVER — Denver police say a man is dead and a 17-year-old boy is in the hospital after a shooting Wednesday night in the 3200 block of Federal Boulevard.

According to a tweet from the Denver Police Department, the call came in around 10 p.m. of a shooting. Two people were treated for injuries related to a gunshot wound.

Around an hour later, DPD sent a tweet saying one man is dead and the incident is being investigated as a homicide. No other information was provided about the second person who was injured.

Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, DPD provided an update on twitter, saying the two men knew each other, had a confrontation and shot each other.

Police say the 17-year-old is in the hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
