DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — The northbound lanes of Interstate 25 were closed Monday night in Douglas County due to police activity. The lanes reopened just after 2am Tuesday.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the closure was between Castle Pines Parkway (exit 188) and RidgeGate Parkway (exit 192).

Colorado State Patrol tells FOX31 and Channel 2 they first received reports of debris in the road around 10pm Monday. While on the way to the scene, troopers learned a body was also in the road. An investigation is underway.
