LONE TREE, Colo. (KDVR) — Commuters should expect delays on Friday morning traveling northbound around Lone Tree and the SkyRidge Medical Center on Interstate 25, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) warns.
“Through the morning rush hour on northbound I-25 … there will be two lanes closed and that means there will likely be delays. So if you are commuting into work, or anywhere for the day, keep that in mind. Add some extra travel time,” CDOT spokesperson Presley Fowler said.
Engineers spent the afternoon assessing damage after authorities say a commercial truck hit the Sky Ridge Avenue bridge.
CDOT told FOX31 they expected to open three lanes by 4:30 p.m.
CDOT and Colorado State Patrol (CSP) closed I-25 at the RidgeGate exit due to an emergency bridge repair late Thursday morning.
Officials suggested drivers exit at RidgeGate to Peoria, to Lincoln and back on to I-25.
