3 men injured in shooting at Aurora office building

AURORA, Colo. — Three men were injured in a shooting at an office building in Aurora Friday afternoon, according to the Aurora Police Department.

APD said the shooting occurred at 1450 South Havana Street, which is at Havana’s intersection with East Florida Avenue.

According to APD spokesman Anthony Camacho, the shooting happened at a barber shop on the second floor of the eight-floor building.

When officers arrived, they rendered aid to the victims. All three men were then taken to a hospital by ambulance. Their conditions are unknown.

Police do not yet know what led to the shooting.

But two people in the office next to the barber shop told FOX31 it started with a fight.

“We heard one shot, then there was like three or four more shots after that,” Chrissy Carrera said. “It was like 10 guys running out of the barbershop and one ran in our office and I told them to get out.”

The building was not placed on lockdown.

APD said it believes the incident is isolated and there is no threat to the larger community. It is unknown whether the shooting is gang related.

There is no suspect in custody.

Police initially said the shooting occurred in the 1400 block of North Havana Street. It then corrected the location to 1450 South Havana Street.
