AURORA, Colo. — A man has died after he was found lying in the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the Aurora Police Department.
The man was identified as 41-year-old Juan Manuel Galindo Argumedo, according to the Adams and Broomfield counties coroner’s office. The coroner’s office says the cause of death is still under investigation.
Police spokesperson Crystal McCoy says Aurora police officers responded Saturday to 11249 E. Colfax Ave. due to reports of a male lying in the street.
Once officers arrived, they located an adult male lying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to an area hospital but succumbed to his injuries at about 6 a.m. Sunday, according to McCoy.
This incident is being investigated as a homicide by the Aurora Police Major Crimes/Homicide Unit and is still active and ongoing.
