GREELEY, Colo. (KDVR) — Home surveillance cameras have captured images of someone looking into the windows of homes in Greeley.

The Greeley Police Department is asking for help to identify the person seen multiple times in the area of First Street and 26th Avenue between the hours of 9 p.m. Sunday and 12 a.m. Monday.

Video of the lurker was captured in the Villa West Community in Northern Greeley.

“It’s creepy, weird for sure,” said Gunther Sims, who lives near where the mystery man was recorded. “I have kids, and he could have been watching them.”

Other neighbors told FOX31 they too can’t seem to make sense of it, nor do they recognize the man in the video.

“Why would he do that? That’s weird,” said Ray Laos, who also lives nearby. “It makes me uncomfortable — to look at people, especially if you don’t know them.”

Greeley police said depending on the investigation, this type of crime could be classified as “invasion of privacy for sexual gratification,” which is a class 6 felony. Police would need to do several follow ups before charges could be filed.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Officer Steward at 970-350-9605.
