AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — UPDATE (July 15, 8:51 p.m.) Police on Thursday arrested a man in the shooting.

Treyvion Simpson, 22, faces a count of first-degree murder in the death of Andrew Edward Billinger, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The case will be tried in the 18th Judicial District.

Police said Simpson and the victim met that night about the sale of a gaming console.

ORIGINAL: Police said a man was shot and killed in a shooting Tuesday evening.

The Aurora Police Department said it happened around 6:30 p.m.

They said it happened in the McDonald’s parking lot at 2651 S. Parker Rd. The address is near the intersection with East Yale Avenue.

Police did not immediately have a suspect description but said they were believed to be in a silver vehicle, although the type is unknown.

Police asked anyone with information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
