Blizzard leaves behind snow, wind damage, dangerous travel conditions

DENVER — A strong winter storm moved into the Denver metro area and the eastern Plains on Wednesday morning. Most of the Front Range and Plains experienced blizzard conditions before the storm began winding down Wednesday night. A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day has been issued for Thursday because of continued travel impacts. From Adams County: “Working with the State Department of Homeland Security, Adams County Commissioners and County Manager Raymond Gonzales have issued a Local Disaster Declaration. This move allows the Colorado National Guard to deploy resources and provide assistance across the county.”
