LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) — UPDATE (7:46 p.m.): The barricaded person was taken into custody without incident at approximately 6:30 p.m. Police said the area is now open to residents and safe for those wanting to return home. Police will remain in the area to continue an investigation.

ORIGINAL: Police in Littleton have closed one street and asked residents of the neighborhood to shelter in place, following a S.W.A.T. situation.

Details are limited, but police said this is an incident in the 2700 block of Riverwalk Circle. Riverwalk Circle is closed at Prince Street.

While police say the threat is contained, officers are still asking everyone in the Riverwalk neighborhood to shelter in place, so the S.W.A.T. team can focus on the incident at hand.
