AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — The Aurora Police Department says an 11-year-old shot Sunday night is expected to make full recovery.

Police said the shooting happened near the 12000 block of East Kansas Drive around 8:20 p.m.

The victim was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

“The 11yr-old victim from last night certainly had guardian angels watching over him. Despite being shot multiple times, he should make a full recovery.” according to APD’s Twitter account Monday morning.

Authorities are still searching for two suspects following the shooting.

“We need the public’s help! Suspects are 2 B/M, 1 in red shirt, 1 in white shirt. Plz call @CrimeStoppersCO w/ susp info” shared Aurora police on Twitter.
