SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — The Straight Creek Fire is burning two miles east of Dillon between I-70 and Tenderfoot Mountain. Because of its proximity to the highway crews said there could be multiple lane and full highway closures.

Update (June 11, 11 a.m.): A total of 65 personnel and three helicopters are currently being used to fight the fire. Two Hot Shot crews and additional aircraft are on order to help with the fire.
Fire activity calmed overnight but is expected to grow as the temperatures warm today.
The Straight Creek Fire is currently about 15 acres in size.
Update (June 10, 10 p.m.): Colorado State Patrol said a wildfire sparked just south of Interstate 70 between the Eisenhower Tunnel and Silverthorne.
By around 9:30 p.m., the fire had grown to 10-15 acres about two miles east of Dillon, according to the U.S. Forest Service. It continued to burn in the Straight Creek area near Tenderfoot Mountain and I-70.
The Forest Service said there were no immediate threats to structures. More firefighting resources were ordered and expected on the scene Friday.
CSP closed I-70 eastbound at Silverthorne when they fire sparked. The road had reopened by 10 p.m., but they said to expect delays or closures Friday if the fire activity picks up.
