SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — The Colorado State Patrol says the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 are back open at the Vail Pass rest area after multiple rollover crashes.

CSP announced the closure at around 8:25 a.m. Wednesday morning. The interstate reopened around 9:50 a.m.

Vail Fire and Emergency Services said, “Although winter is technically over, the roads can still be dangerous this time of year. Crews were busy working three separate motor vehicle accidents this morning on Vail Pass due to icy roads.  Be extra cautious when traveling in the mornings.”

It is not known if anyone was injured in the crashes.
