Hot air balloon forced to land in Colorado Springs apartment complex

COLORADO SPRINGS — Some people in Colorado Springs woke up and saw the unusual sight of a hot air balloon forced to make an emergency landing at an apartment complex.

Anya Peaux said it happened around 7 a.m. at the Copper Creek Apartments off of Airport Road and Crestline Drive. They wanted to land at a nearby elementary school but the wind changed those plans.

No one was hurt and no cars were damaged.
