AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — Evacuations have been lifted in an Aurora neighborhood after an underground gas leak Wednesday afternoon, Aurora Fire Rescue said.

Xcel Energy said the threat was “mitigated” in the area of 16051 E. Radcliff Place but AFR hazmat personnel were on site monitoring the levels in the homes and surrounding areas before lifting the evacuations.

Xcel said personnel will continue to work in the area.

AFR said there is construction in the area and activity prior to the emergency call.
