GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. (KDVR) — The Greenwood Village Police Department says northbound Interstate 25 is back open at Belleview Avenue after a diesel fuel spill.

Lanes three through five of I-25 remain closed at Belleview Avenue with no estimated time of reopening.

The incident happened around 2:53 a.m. near northbound I-25 and Belleview Avenue when a box truck crashed.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Police said the fuel tanks of the truck ruptured, spilling less than 100 gallons of diesel fuel onto the road.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
