DENVER (KDVR) — West Metro Fire Rescue is reporting extreme fire danger in its district today.
Dry conditions and wind gusts are the culprits.
West Metro Fire Rescue said fire ignited in these conditions can easily grow in size and make it very difficult for firefighters to subdue.
This follows the Red Flag Warning the National Weather Service issued for Denver, Boulder and surrounding areas.
