PARKER, Colo. (KDVR) — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Chaparral High School has been cleared after a bomb threat was investigated Friday afternoon.

“Students have been evacuated and are gathered in the parking lots,” a tweet from DougCo Sheriff’s Office said at 12:41 p.m.

The sheriff’s office confirmed the threat was received via phone call.

The school announced early release at 1:15 p.m. and the sheriff’s office said students can come pick up their belongings at the school after 3 p.m.
