Denver Public Health rebrands as The Public Health Institute at Denver Health

DENVER (KDVR)— In an effort to rebrand and refocus on their wide-reaching mission, Denver Public Health will now be known as The Public Health Institute at Denver Health.

The name change is designed to acknowledge the variety of services the institute provides in addition to public health work throughout the Denver metro area and beyond.

“One of the clear lessons of the current pandemic is that county lines don’t matter much to a virus, or any other health problem,” said PHIDH Executive Director Bill Burman M.D. “Whether it is providing tuberculosis prevention and control services in the seven-county metro area or providing regional data on COVID-19 vaccination, the Public Health Institute at Denver Health is able to work across jurisdictional lines to improve health.”

A department within Denver Health, the PHIDH defines its mission as using medical knowledge in tandem with knowledge of health care systems to prevent health crises and connect with communities in the Denver metro.

More information about the work done by the Public Health Institute of Denver Health or their rebranding can be found on their website.
