DENVER — A pedestrian was transported to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Lower Downtown Denver Saturday evening.

The Denver Police Department said a vehicle hit a pedestrian at 20th Street and Blake Street near Coors Field around 8:40 p.m. The driver of the vehicle stopped and was cited.

Police initially reported the incident as a hit-and-run, but later said it was not.

The pedestrian has a broken ankle as a result of the incident.

No roads are closed in the area, DPD said.
