DENVER — A Denver family said they were waiting for word from officials after a second person was found deceased at the site of Wednesday’s construction fire near downtown. The discovery of the body was made late Thursday afternoon.

The family said Roberto Flores-Prieto was at the construction site where the fire broke out just after noon at 1833 Emerson St. He hasn’t been seen since then.

Flores-Prieto’s family said he’s a construction worker who was on the third floor when co-workers last saw him.

Supervisors at the installation company he works for confirm Flores-Prieto was on the job when the fire started.

Co-workers reported seeing Prieto spraying insulation just before explosions rang out.

Those co-workers said they have been to police and hospitals looking for him, but they’ve found nothing.

The Denver Fire Department said one other person was found dead after the flames were extinguished Wednesday.
