LOVELAND, Colo. — Drug task force officers have raided multiple houses in northern Colorado suspected of hiding illegal marijuana grows to crackdown on an unnamed drug trafficking organization.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reported Wednesday that the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force targeted five homes in the Loveland area.

Authorities say a sixth home in Fort Collins was also raided.

The newspaper says investigators could be seen hauling tarp loads of plants from one of the homes, but the amount of marijuana seized was not reported.

Task force officials say the homes were identified during a three-month investigation into the group and were bought to hide affiliated grow operations.

Authorities say the grows caused black mold infestations making the homes uninhabitable.

Authorities say they expect to release additional information Friday including on arrests made.
