COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KDVR) — Another victim’s identity of the Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs has been released.

Ashley Paugh’s husband Kurt released a statement on behalf of the family, giving insight into his wife’s life.

Ashley was a loving wife – she was my high school sweetheart – and she was just an amazing mother. Her daughter was her whole world, and she was so proud of Ryleigh, who is a championship swimmer. She loved her dad, her sister, and her family; Ashley was a loving aunt, with many nieces and nephews who are devastated by her loss.

Paugh worked for Kids Crossing, a nonprofit that finds homes for foster children. In the statement, Paugh’s husband said she would do anything for children, including traveling around southeastern Colorado to raise awareness. Also in the statement, her husband talked about her love of organizing giving trees during the holidays to help foster children celebrate this time of year.

Kids Crossing is heartbroken over the loss of Ashley Paugh. Ashley served our Kids Crossing families with so much love and kindness. She was always someone our families trusted and wanted to talk to. Her love for kids never went unnoticed and she would go above and beyond to make sure every child felt safe and loved. Our love and prayers are with her family.

Paugh loved outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and riding four-wheelers.

Paugh went to Adams State University and graduated in 2019. The institution posted this on its Facebook page:

Adams State is deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Ashley Green Paugh, Class of 2019. She lost her life while visiting Club Q in Colorado Springs over the weekend. Ashley is survived by her husband, Kurt, and 11-year-old daughter, Ryleigh.Ashley worked tirelessly for the nonprofit organization, Kids Crossing, which places children in foster homes all over Southern Colorado and helps LGBTQ couples find foster children to bring into their families.
