ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — South Adams Fire is working to determine the cause of a warehouse fire near the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.

The fire started near East 84th Avenue and Rosemary Street in Adams County around 7:30 a.m.

The building used to house Palombo Farms Market, but the warehouse is now under new ownership.  Fire crews were able to get a hold of the property manager, who told them there were about 500 wooden pallets inside stacked three rows high.

Because of the extreme heat of the fire, crews were unable to find the source of the fire initially, crews even had to put a hole in the roof to help calm the smoke.

South Adams County Fire said no one was injured in the fire.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
