Editor’s note: The Denver Police Department initially reported a pedestrian was involved in a crash with three drivers, but the investigation determined no pedestrians and only two drivers were involved.

DENVER (KDVR) — Police were investigating a hit-and-run crash with serious injuries that involved two drivers and a parked car.

The Denver Police Department said the crash happened at 9th Avenue and Lincoln Street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood early Friday morning.

Around 11:45 a.m., the department said in a tweet that the investigation determined a suspect driver side-swiped another driver, which forced that driver to hit a parked car. The suspect driver then took off.

Closures were in place while police investigated.
