AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — Update 7:30 p.m. Police arrested a man in the shooting.

Fermin Bonsell, 34, faces counts of menacing, attempt to commit homicide, second-degree assault and domestic violence, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Police said the investigation into what happened before the shooting is ongoing.

Earlier: The Aurora Police Department is investigating a double shooting that happened early Monday morning.

The shooting happened at 1324 Xanadu St. before 5:30 a.m. There is a large police presence in the area.

Police said a man and a woman were shot. They were both taken to the hospital. Police said the man was in critical condition and the woman’s condition is not known at this time.

Police said a male suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting. The suspect’s identity has not been released.
