AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — The Aurora Police Department is investigating a domestic violence-related shooting that happened Thursday morning.
Police said it happened at the Glen at the Park Apartments (291 S. Jasper Cir.) around 6:56 a.m.
A 38-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, who were married, were arguing prior to the shooting when police said they believe the man shot the woman and then proceeded to shoot himself.
The woman was pronounced dead. The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition but is expected to survive, police said.
A teenager was inside the home when the incident took place, police said.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
